It's Official: Video Is Taking Over!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Just wanted to share some really interesting information I read a few days ago about the continuing growth and popularity of video on the internet. It's terrific stuff, and it's a definite eye-opener for anyone who uses (or is thinking of using) video to market themselves on the internet.
In its annual Visual Networking Index, Cisco systems announced last week that internet traffic will quadruple by 2014, driven by the rapid growth in video traffic generated by both consumers and businesses. Video, the company says, will account for more than 91 percent of consumer internet traffic worldwide - and that there will be more than 1 billion online video users by the end of 2010!
Think of it this way, Cisco says: to watch all the video expected to be crossing networks in 2014 would take 72 million years. That's - uhmmm - that's a lot of video.
More proof, y'all, that video is the future. And why shouldn't it be? People love video. And with every passing day it's becoming more widely used and easier and easier to broadcast. And the companies that don't buy into the internet video marketing revolution soon will without question find themselves at a technological and competitive disadvantage in the not-too-distant future.
So what are you waiting for? If you have a website (and surely you do by now), why not think of it as your own personal TV channel? At OrthoMedia, we can work with you to load your site(s) with awesome, compelling video content that will: a) separate your practice from the pack; b) keep you on the technological forefront; c) grab the attention of prospective patients; and d) drive more business through your doors. It's a lot easier and a lot more affordable than you think.
Give us a shout today and let's chat about video for your practice!
Have a great week everyone! Until next time...
